Life and the Things that Bring Me Happiness♥

Hey everyone, sorry it has been so long. For those of you still left reading this I'd like to say thank you for sticking it out with me.

Truth is, I haven't really had a desire to write anything this whole time. That doesn't mean nothing has happened, because a lot has, it's just I haven't felt much of it was worth sharing.

So what has been happening in my average life? In July I went to Florida with my family to visit my grandparents. 

We went to Universal Studios (here I am riding a merry-go-round in Dr. Seuss land haha). My favorite part of Universal was The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. I'm a huge fan (: 

Just look at the hourglasses!! Butterbeer is super fantastic tasting guys, just saying.

We also ventured to the beach which doesn't sound extremely thrilling but because I have a shark phobia it was quite the experience for me. I even managed to get my scared butt all the way out to the "DO NOT SWIM BEYOND THIS POINT" sign which I saw as a victory (: We went back the next day & I honestly had every intention to go back in the water but when I got on the beach I had this awful feeling in my stomach and refused to go in. It's a good thing too because my parents saw not one, but TWO sharks, one of which was eating not even twenty feet away from them. Uh... NOPE.

Things were quiet at home once I got back, just a lot of work (and when it started back up) school. Bleck. Not really all that much fun. At the end of August, however, one of my best friends came home from Ann Arbor where she goes to fancy art school to visit. Love it when Elise is home (: Her, another friend Amy, and I took my sister to the Bristol Renaissance Faire and had an absolute blast!

I even saw a Weeping Angel there! DON'T BLINK! (This lady works with the fair ps and she was super awesome & funny). 

But don't worry, the Doctor was there to save me (: He even had on the converse too guys. So great ♥

I don't know about you but my favorite part of the ren faire is the joust. And our knight did not disappoint, he won!! And was adorably handsome while doing it too (; 

I mean, just look at what an adorable little shit he is! Haha Elise and I were fangirling over him the whole time (: I was born to work at the Ren Faire. Someone please tell me where I sign up. It was such a great day, and I even got my very own flower crown to wear too which I love (: 

What do you guys think? Can I pull off the flower crown look?

The ren faire was the last big thing that I've done as of late. Oh wait, that's right. Duh how silly of me. I've become a model since the last time I wrote too!! Nothing big or flashy, it's just for something fun to do but man do I love doing it (: I've got a shoot on Tuesday that I'm excited for but you'll just have to wait to hear/read about that :P until then let me know what you think of my last shoot!!

Can you tell that the green dress was my favorite? I even got to keep that one (: It would be super great if you all could go like our Facebook page, Eye Candi Modeling, and help us get our work out there (: The photographer for all of the pictures, Jessica, runs the page and she won't bother you with useless spam posts. 

So as you can a see now, I'm alive and well. Just a big procrastinator when it comes to writing on here. My bad! I tend to spend a lot of my free time on Tumblr (username musical-whovian ps) and on Tickld.I'll try my best to do better for you guys but I'm not making any promises. Cause life happens.

I CAN tell you I will be blogging about the Doctor Who 50th anniversary special in November once it airs (: Cause I mean... LOOK at how awesome the poster is!

LOOK AT IT. They need to invent a new level of excitement because that's how pumped I am to see this. Any other whovians who read this blog, can I get an AMEM! Lol sorry but I'm not sorry for how much I love this show (:

Element, Book 1, "Mist"

So when I first created this blog I figured it was going to be something I wrote in almost every day. As it turns out, my life is extremely boring & I really don't have as much interesting things to talk about as I thought I did. My bad guys. I hope I'm not disappointing any of you guys for not posting often enough, but really I don't think very many of ya'll out there read this anyways so oh well. (In case you're curious, as of tonight this blog has has 1489 page views.) To be honest, I really don't have anything super important to talk about tonight either but I'm in the mood to type & I'm not tired at ALL so.... Yep! Feel free to click away now otherwise enjoy my rambling about probably nothing (:

(Roughly 10 minutes later) So..... As it turns out I really don't have anything to say... Sorry guys. So instead I'll leave you with a little bit of a story I've had up in my head for a long time now. Hope you guys like it! Please don't steal any of the little bits of ideas I have & PLEASE let me know what you think!!!!

An excerpt from Element, book 1, "Mist" by Chelsea Rose

Dinner was close.  I could feel it.  Stepping forward I moved closer and closer ignoring both my not so quiet movements and the steady stream of profanities coming out of the dark.

“Hush up” I growled under my breath.

“I will as soon as you do” was the answer that bounced all around me.

....  Crack....

The soft sound echoed much too loud for a small twig (even if my ears are sensitive).  A new line of curses almost masked the sound of fleeting footsteps.  The sound of a smack to the back of the head, however, shattered the sound barrier.

Back at camp, I surveyed my accomplice.  Tall (about 6’1”), fair ginger red hair cropped short from a recent meeting with a dulled knife, and the most amazing eyes I had even seen.  They’re stunning, alive blue that mingles with a pastel green.  This perfect melody teases floating pools of onyx black that seem to go on forever.  Boy could they stop a heart...

To most, I appeared to look like a thin, graceful young women.  Most men stop in their tracks at the sight of me.  Some whisper that I must be a Goddess.  They describe my hair as a flowing cascade of sandy brown hair.  Though only 5’4”, my very presence makes even those a foot taller than me seem minuscule   I've heard rumors that claim my eyes are such a pure liquid blue that one glance into their depths can drown even the most talented swimmer.  At least this is what people say about me.  I am no better looking than the average maiden in my own opinion.

Brennen liked to think; at least that's what I had learned in the past few weeks.  He always seemed to be staring into the depths of the flames as they flickered in the night.  Tonight was no different.

“What cha' thinking about?”  I asked thinking I knew the answer.

“My home” He replied, giving me a completely different answer than I originally thought.

“Oh...  Okay then...”

The bubble of tense silence that followed was one that wreaked havoc on my mind.  Silence and I were ones that didn't mix so well, like water and oil.

Finally, the silence provoking me into talking, I said, “Well I'm turning in for the night.”

“Yeah me too,” he blurted out a little too fast.  “M...Might need the strength for tomorrow.”

“Who gets our one blanket tonight?”  I asked exasperated.

“Let's share it; it’s pretty cold.  Plus then we can share body heat.”

“I’m not sharing ‘body heat’ with you!  You might do something in the night while I'm sleeping.  Like you could kill me or-“I shrieked, not needing to finish my sentence.

“If I was going to kill you I could have done that a few weeks ago, and trust me I DON’T like you like that!”

“So you say...”  I retorted, raising my eyebrow in a questioning manner.

He stared me down with those eyes of his.  Those eyes...  I’d seen them many times before I had actually met Brennen.  They had plagued my dreams when I was little.  Actually, they’re the only thing in my childhood memories.  The rest is blank...  The funny and somewhat ironic thing is that by touching someone I can see anything and everything about their past (except for Brennen).

“Fine.  We’ll share, but we're buying another blanket when we get to the next town.”

“And how do you propose we do that when we have no money?”

“Oh I’m SORRY you high and mighty, but if SOMEone would just WORK a little then we MIGHT be able to BUY our food.  Then we wouldn't be HUNGRY!”

“Well if SOMEONE would learn how to track QUIETLY!”

By this time, both of us were standing either side of the fire.  I clasped in a heap, flustered and confused.  The stupid bubble returned.

Lost in my thoughts I didn't notice Brennen leave.  I looked up about to speak and found myself alone.  The nerve of him I thought.  I tried calming myself with deep breaths and found he was off scouting ahead.  Not fully calmed I took another breath in.  I smelled... her.  Panic, fear, sadness, and a strange calm flooded my senses all at once.  I acted on my first instinct not bothering for a more rational one to develop; I ran.

My heart pounded in my ears as I fled the campsite.  Despite the fact I was blindly running for my life I was as silent as water slipping over ice; a few cracks at first, then silence.  Soon I found myself tumbling downhill, gaining many scratches and bruises along the way.  Almost to the bottom of a rather steep hill my left foot caught on a rock, twisting with a sickening crunch.  Instinctively my arms flung out in front of me as I fell forward, taking something with me.  A blurry world spun into view as swelling pain consumed my senses.

The something that had suffered my fall along with me wasn't something at all but someone.  Grunting and the movement of leaves alerted me to their presence, but I could do nothing to make my sobs less audible; I'd seem to have lost control of my body and its actions.

“Aquaries is that you?  Are you ok?  You're hurt aren't you!?”

Brennen ... His voice calmed the raging sobs into timid, gasping hiccups.  I found myself wanting, almost NEEDING to be closer to him.  I must be dizzier than I Thought.  Wait...  Wasn't I running in the opposite direction from him?

“I ... I think ... I broke my ... my ankle.”  I said between hiccups.

Clouds parted, flooding us in light from the full moon.  I screamed, writhing in agony.  My necklace (a dolphin in the shape of a key that's holding my blue Mermish blood) began to glow, illuminating my over-sized eyes.  Blood raced through my veins-particularly the ones spiraling down my left arm-making them bulge, about ready to burst.  My senses went into overdrive.  Everything melded into one sharp feeling of pain.  I became blind. Suddenly I heard a familiar voice inside my head, speaking to me in a language I had never heard before and yet somehow understood.

Aqua calm down, I'm here.  I'm going to take away the pain.

Farside?  How are you in my head? I tentatively thought back, noticing as I did so that I was thinking in my native tongue instead of the common tongue as I normally did. 

No time to explain.  Brennen will be waking up soon.

Did you knock him out?

Yes.  He wouldn't let me...  You know...

O.K.  I understand.

Sleep well Aqua...

What Chu Talkin' About Willis?

Yeah yeah... It's been awhile. I know, so shoot me. There hasn't really been anything "post worthy" for me to write about. Except that I turned 19 on the 23rd of March & went on a Chicago trip with Alexis & Aaron for a joint birthday... Thing. It was pretty fun, we went all the way up to the Sky Deck at Sears Tower. Excuse me, that's right it's "Willis Tower" now >.> Eh whatever, still the Sears Tower if you ask me. Still, being up on the 106th floor out of a 110 was pretty awesome (: Poor Aaron was petrified but we even got him out on the Sky Deck too!

All in all it was a pretty fantastic day (: I got to celebrate surviving yet another year with two spectacular people. Alexis & Aaron have been the two friends I have been able to get a lot closer to since graduating from high school. I miss my other friends (mainly Taylor, Elise, Christine, & Shyenne) & can't wait for them to come home for the summer! I'm grateful for this time I've had to grow as a person over this last year & look forward to the future. Hope it brings just as much good as the past year did ♥

Tonight my song of choice is Beat This Summer by Brad Paisley (: NOTHING is going to beat this coming summer with those I love most in this world ♥ So here's to summer! May it come soon & stay forever so that everyone I love never has to leave again. I can't wait ♥

Talk Whovian to Me♥♥

Today was my first official day on the job at Arby's and I've got to say, I will NEVER complain about what I receive from fast food ever again. Nor will I ever knock or look down on those working in fast food. It's harder than you'd think! Despite feeling like I was a complete idiot for not knowing most of the stuff I was taught today, I had a great first day (: And yes, I actually had quite an enjoyable time! I'm actually looking forward to going in on Thursday & who knows, if you're lucky I'll show you what I look like in my sexy uniform ;D

After work I stopped by the bank and picked up some pretty yellow flowers for my dear Frau ♥ I was a little disappointed that I wasn't allowed to give them to her personally but the email thanking me for them made it so worth it (:

 I spent the afternoon being quite nerdy playing Minecraft until miss Alexis came over. (Yes, I play Minecraft. Like a boss I might add)

Alexis made my night by allowing us to watch not just one, but TWO episodes of Doctor Who :D

Season 6, episode 4: "The Doctor's Wife" and the Christmas special between seasons 5 & 6: "A Christmas Carol" (: These are two of my favorite episodes & she was such a good sport, chuckling at all the right times & everything! Thanks dear (:

I'm a huge Doctor Who fan. Clearly. It's kind of crazy that I was first introduced to the show less than a year ago by someone who I don't even talk to anymore.  In less than a year I've managed to hook two of my other friends on the show, become the friend everyone knows as "The Whovian" (and proud of it!!), am almost able to give the name of most every episode (in order), am able to ACCURATELY quote chunks of almost every episode, and have a Doctor Who quote ready for every occasion (:

I Wear Your Granddad's Clothes; I Look Incredible

I'm such a ditz for not blogging about this sooner. Friday was a great day with two of my oldest & closest friends, Elise and Christine. Both were in town for the day, which is rare now that we're all in different colleges.

The day started off by all of us lovely ladies meeting up at our local movie theater to see Identity Thief. It was raunchy and absolutely hysterical (:

I had an obligation to drop my mom off at her therapy (she had 2 back surgeries this time last year) session so we all piled into my car and took her. There’s a Noodle’s & Company out that way and that’s where we stopped for lunch (: Yum!! I kind of wish I had been a hipster and taken a picture of my food because it was just that good lol

After a stop back at the movies for Elise and Christine to get their cars and after stopping to let Elise’s dog out, we headed out for some quality thrift shopping at the Salvation Army. What a great many… Interesting clothing items lol Naturally we felt the need to try on these exquisite gems (; Mainly I subjected Elise & Christine into being my human barbies but they managed to get me in one too (:

After all of this excitement we ventured over to Red Mango for a treat. We sat there for roughly a half hour or so eating our super yum frozen yogurt & chatting before deciding we were hungry for dinner... So we went across the street for Beef-a-Roo (: We sat in the back room of that restaurant until it closed at 10 pm and we were finally forced to say farewell once more. I can't wait to see these two lovely ladies again! I've been friends with them both since 3rd grade; going on 11 years ago now!!!

I think it's very safe to say that we had a fantastic time catching up ♥
